Whitney Warner is a founding partner with the labor and employment law firm of Moody & Warner, P.C., representing employers and employees.
Her practice is devoted to employment and labor law and includes advice and litigation in the areas of class actions, discrimination, harassment, labor relations, wage and hour issues, EEOC/HRD charges, wrongful termination, employment agreements, and other employment-related matters.
Ms. Warner represents both employers and employees in all types of labor and employment law matters, including arbitrations, unfair labor practice and representation proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, administrative hearings before federal and state Department of Labor tribunals, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New Mexico Human Rights Commission, and trials in federal and state courts and appeals. She is licensed to practice law in New Mexico state and federal courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Ms. Warner is a past chair of the Employment and Labor Section of the New Mexico State Bar Association. She was voted as one of New Mexico's Best Lawyers. Ms Warner was named one of the Best of the Bar 2010 by New Mexico Business Weekly. She was awarded the 2009 Professional Excellence Award by SHRM of NM, the state's top honor in the HR field. Ms. Warner and the firm are recognized by "Chambers USA - America's Leading Lawyers for Business" as leaders in employment law in New Mexico. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a distinction reserved for one-third of one percent of lawyers who have demonstrated outstanding dedication in their public and private careers to the welfare of their communities. She has been recognized in "Southwest Super Lawyers," a listing of the top 5% of lawyers based on peer nominations and evaluation of 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Ms. Warner served on the Board of the Employer's Disability Resource (BLN) from 2005 to 2010. She currently serves on the HRMA Board of Directors and the Federal Court Local Civil Rules Committee. She serves on the Association of Commerce and Industry's Workplace Issues Committee, and was Chair in 2010 and 2011.
