Claim against University of New Mexico Athletic Department Settled

Moody & Warner successfully resolved a claim asserted by Sylvia Lopez, a long-time employee of the University of New Mexico Athletic Department. Lopez claimed that when the new head football coach came in he harassed her because of her age and forced her out of the department. As a part of the settlement, among other things, Lopez was reinstated in her employment with the University and was placed in a higher-paying job in another department.

Moody & Warner settles gender discrimination class action against Morgan Stanley for $46 Million

The Washington D.C. Federal Court Approved a $46 Million settlement in a class action gender discrimination case against Morgan Stanley, brought by the firms of Moody & Warner, Sprenger & Lang and Mehri & Skalet. The settlement will benefit a class of over 2,800 female financial advisors.
